The explosion of cases from the Omicron mutation has brought great concern to all of us and we have to review the protocol that the teams had accepted at the beginning of the season.
The Health Protocol of the Games determines the necessary procedures that must be followed by all the teams that participate in the games that are organized.
In order to ensure the smooth conduct of the events, the following will have the right to enter and stay during the games:
1. 14 people for each team (12 athletes, 2 coaches)
2. 2 judges
3. 2 referees
4. 1 race doctor
5. 3 people as stadium staff (guards)
6. 2 agents from each group, who will sit on the podium having a distance of 2 meters between them
7. 1 cameraman
Only those mentioned in paragraphs 1,2,3,4,5 can be present inside the playing field.
All the other mentioned will be obligatorily present on the podium of the stadium, observing the provided distances. .
During the match, except for the athletes who are competing, the two coaches and the referees, all other attendees must wear a mask.
All attendees will be required to enter through only one door.
All the above mentioned when entering the stadium must sign the status of the match protocol provided by the GGA (which will indicate the name, contact details, time of entry, the existence of any symptoms).
Fans – Spectators
Spectators are allowed to participate in individual and team sports, in open air
and indoor sports facilities, subject to the following conditions:
a) For open facilities with electronic ticket system: completeness up to 10% of
capacity and not more than 1,000 spectators.
b) For open facilities without electronic ticket system: fullness up to 10%
of capacity and not more than 1,000 spectators.
c) For closed facilities with electronic ticket system: fullness up to 10% of
capacity and not more than 1,000 spectators.
d) For closed facilities without electronic ticket system: fullness up to 10%
of capacity and not more than 1,000 spectators.
The above applies only to fully vaccinated spectators and up to 5% of the maximum
permissible number of spectators for unvaccinated minors up to 17 years of age.
Minors 13 to 17 years old present for a 72-hour PCR test or a 48-hour rapid test.
Minors up to 12 years old are allowed to enter with a negative self test
has been conducted on the day of the race.
Athletes
Match limit for five available players (out of the 18 that each team is entitled to) so that one game is not postponed.
The new protocol stipulates that there may be postponement of matches due to incidents if there are not at least five players available (out of the 18 that each team is entitled to) and the leaders send a status and proof of positive molecular control.
No match can be postponed more than twice and those teams that exceed the limit and no date is available, will lose the match 20-0 through their own fault.
If there is still a necessary postponement of a match (due to cases and non-completion of the five athletes), the Organizing Authority of the Championship should be strictly aware of this at least four days before the match (in order to cancel referees, secretariat, doctor)and of course the leaders send a status and proof of positive molecular control.
In case of untimely information the team that you will not present in the match on the day and time provided by the program, the team loses the card game by zero (20-0) and is charged with the cost of the match for both (2) groups.
Also, a 20-0 defeat is predicted for the teams that will not comply with the health protocols in the first offense and their expulsion from the tournament in the next.
With the sole aim of the health of all athletes of WEST ATTICA BASKET LEAUGE, the Organizing Authority of the Championship informs you that all participants in the games and activities of the WABL Championship (athletes, coaches, agents, etc.), have been informed by the organizing authority protection measures against covid19, according to the official recommendations of EODY and everyone is obliged to observe them individually during their participation in the sports and non-sports activities of the WABL Championship.
In any case, the organizing authority does not bear any responsibility in case a team member falls ill with covid19 during his participation in a WABL Championship activity.
